The Product Engineer is a member of the Engineering team and is responsible for ensuring the success of the product during its manufacturing lifecycle. As a part of the Product Engineering team, you are responsible for sustaining production efforts of A/V equipment, LCD monitors, and Cabin Management Systems.
ECAD and MCAD tools; Altium Designer; SolidWorks suite; LVDS, HD-SDI, HDMI/DVI, DisplayPort, etc. and analog or S/PDIF audio.
Circuit-level communications buses including SPI, UART/RS-232/RS-485, and USB; system-level communications including CAN, CAN-FD, USB, RS-232/RS-485, and ARINC-429.
Works as part of the Engineering team in evaluation, integration, and incorporation of replacement parts, usually for obsolescence, on electronics-based products. Incorporation of changes via formalized ECO process.
Helps to develop manufacturing processes, test procedures and specialized test equipment.
Utilizes understanding of electronics failure analysis and proven technical communication to troubleshoot and correct faults.
Assess and maintain circuit-level communications buses including SPI< UART/RS-232/RS-485, and USB. Understanding of system-level communications including CAN, CAN-FD, USB, RS-232/RS-485, and ARINC-429.
Thinks creatively by demonstrating proactivity toward design roadblocks.
Monitor trends and contribute to the success that directly impacts next-generation designs.
Work in harmony with the design, manufacturing, and quality groups to keep operations running smoothly.
Incorporate improvements in key measurement areas, such as speed, cost, quality, and productivity via ECO process.
Assesses and makes recommendations for technical tradeoffs while understanding the implications to the product and to the customer.

BS in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
Plus a minimum of 2 to 6 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Detailed understanding of electronics failure analysis and proven technical communication.
Development of manufacturing processes, test procedures, and specialized test equipment.
Detailed understanding of video, including LVDS, HD-SDI, HDMI/DVI, DisplayPort, etc. and analog or S/PDIF audio.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess a strong analytical and problem solving skillset, and exhibit effective time management and task ownership on their assignments
Must be able to read and interpret hardware design documents, schematics and wiring diagrams
Working knowledge of electronic tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc. is a must.
Experience with the test and diagnosis of video displays as it pertains to contrast, luminance, non-uniformity, and LED backlighting is a bonus.
Understanding of circuit-level communications buses including SPI, UART/RS-232/RS-485, and USB. Understanding of system-level communications including CAN, CAN-FD, USB, RS-232/RS-485, and ARINC-429.
Experience within an electronics manufacturing environment is a must.
Experience developing within an avionics environment is a plus.
SolidWorks® experience is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
